Activating Single Sign-On - Team Dynamix

A major change for SICAS is that we will be implementing the use of Single Sign On (SSO) through Microsoft Groups for all of our users.  This will allow you to access Team Dynamix (TDX) with SSO as long as you are authenticated through your email.  Be prepared to follow the steps below to accept your invite to your new account.  Since we are hosted at Oneonta, you will see them in some of the branding and contacts to get setup.

First you will receive an email that you have been invited to a team as a Guest.  If you already have a Guest account for another purpose through Oneonta, you may not receive this initial message. Please open the email and click on “Open Microsoft Teams”.  The invite must be accepted for your account to be activated.  It will stay in pending status if these steps are not completed and you will not be able to access TDX as a result.

When you click on “Open Microsoft Teams” you will get a permissions request in your browser.  This is the permission to use your account for SSO in our environment.  Please click “Accept” to continue.

Next your browser will direct you to open teams.  Please select “Use the Web App Instead” which will launch your new teams account.

This should redirect your browser to the SICAS Center Support Microsoft Team.  This shows that you have established your SSO account successfully.

Please note at this time that this is just a group being used to manage SSO accounts and access to TDX.  This is not a team that will be active for communication at this time and will not be actively monitored.  We are in the process of evaluating how we may be able to leverage the Microsoft Group and Team for additional support opportunities, so please stay tuned!
